Gadong: The Brunei Darussalam Central Bank (BDCB) recently organised a Muzakarah Syariah, or Syariah Discussion, on Islamic Finance 2025 with the theme ‘Empowering the Syariah Workforce of the Local Islamic Finance Industry.’ The event took place in Gadong.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the discussion was attended by Dayang Hajah Rashidah binti Haji Sabtu, Managing Director of BDCB, as well as members of the Syariah Financial Supervisory Board, Syariah Advisory Board of Islamic financial institutions, and senior officers and representatives from BDCB and Islamic financial institutions. The muzakarah underscored the significance of developing a capable and future-ready Syariah workforce to address emerging challenges, ensuring the growth and integrity of the Islamic finance industry. Presentations during the event outlined key initiatives aimed at strengthening and future-proofing the Syariah profession within the Islamic finance sector.
