National Development Agenda Requires Approach from All Parties

The afternoon session also approved the motions of vote of thanks for the presence of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam at the Official Opening Ceremony of the First Meeting of the 15th Session of the Legislative Council. Before approving the proposal, Legislative Council members deliberated on it and welcomed His Majesty's titah. Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Lela Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Rahman bin Dato Setia Haji Mohamed Taib, Speaker of the Legislative Council said that the Monarch's titah is transparent, clear and always attentive to the welfare and well-being of the citizens and residents in the country.

Yang Berhormat said to ensure that these efforts are running smoothly, related agencies are reminded to continue provide more conducive infrastructures apart from strengthening good governance in all aspects, including assistance and subsidies provided can be well-benefited so that it will not be misused. The issue of unemployment should be tackled holistically while the youth as the country's next generation should be managed so that they are more marketable and relevant to continue the national development agenda as this issue requires the Whole of Nation approach.
