The donation presentation ceremony for orphans from the Orphans Fund, Department of Community Development, JAPEM; Districts Orphans’ Fund, and Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam, BIBD continued yesterday in the four districts. In Brunei Muara District, 1 thousand 389 orphans received their donations via drive-thru at the 2-day event held in International Convention Centre, Berakas.
The donations were handed over by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy as Chairman of BIBD and Yang Berhormat Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports.
Meanwhile at Pusat Insani in Seria, donations were presented by Pengiran Mohammad Amirrizal bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Permanent Secretary for Administration, Finance and Estate, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports. 619 orphans in Belait District received the donations at the ceremony. Donation was also presented by Brunei Shell Sendirian Berhad.
The donation presentation at Tutong Sports Complex were handed over by Pengiran Haji Mohammad Hasnan bin Pengiran Haji Ali Hassan, Permanent Secretary for Strategy and Policy Management, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports. 611 orphans in Tutong District received the donations.
At the main hall of Bangar Town Civic Centre Complex, donations were presented by Dayang Fauziah binti Hamid, Acting Deputy Permanent Secretary for Culture at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports. 189 orphans in Temburong District received the donations.
