The Minister of Religious Affairs in his welcoming address among other matters stated that as the country is still in precautionary state in curbing COVID-19, and with His Majesty’s wise leadership, this year’s Maulidur Rasul was celebrated with simple events in line with the COVID-19 preventive measures. However, Yang berhormat Pehin stated that it is still inline with the intention of glorifying the Maulidur Rasul which signifies the love towards Rasulullah Salallahu ‘Alaihi Wasallam and as a sign of gratitude to Allah Subhanahu Wata’ala for exalting the Prophet as the Messenger of Allah to propagate Allah’s teachings through Islam. The Maulidur Rasul celebration held annually, in any format is certainly a continuous process for the ummah to garner Islamic teachings.
The dikir marhaban was presented by officers and staff from the Ministry of Development, followed by 21 cannon shots.
Awang Haji Dennie bin Haji Abdullah, Acting Assistant Mufti, State Mufti Department in his Special Lecture entitled “Membangun Dengan Akhlak Nabi Muhammad Salallahu ‘Alaihi Wasallam” among other things highlighted that trust and patience are among the two important morals in any development, either in physical or spiritual development. Rasulullah SAW in carrying out the trust from Allah and in urging mankind to be faithful to Allah, received various challenges, threats and condemnations. The Prophet was also offered corruption, assets, high rank and position as well as women for the prophet to leave his da’wah and defy the trust of Allah. But Rasulullah SAW continued to be patient, strict and solid in his stance against any pressure or great offers to defy Allah’s trust. Trustworthiness and a forgiving nature are two morals led by patience. Shouldering and carrying out trust requires patience. This is also true with forgiving the mistakes of others. There is no greater patience than the patience shown or experienced by Rasulullah SAW. Patience is a basic principle in Islam. In the Quran, it is clearly mentioned that those who will gain unlimited blessings are those who are patient. To seek blessings from Allah Subhanahu Wata’ala, Doa Selamat was recited by the State Mufti.
His Majesty’s presence at the assembly is a manifestation of the monarch’s effective leadership in bringing about the people’s love for the Prophet as well as gratitude to Allah Subhanahu Wata’ala for the Messenger of Allah as a bringer of blessings to the world.
