National Vaccination Programme for Students Aged 12-17

 

As of 4 in the afternoon, 5,084 students aged between 12 to 17 received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine yesterday at 8 vaccination centres nationwide. The National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19 for students aged 12 to 17 is one of the Ministry of Health’s initiatives to ensure the country reaches the objective of 80 per cent of the total population completing the COVID-19 vaccination.

 

In the Brunei Muara District, the programme is conducted at four locations namely the Indoor Stadium of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex; Universiti Brunei Darussalam, UBD; Medical Reception Station, MRS Bolkiah Garrison; and the Jubli Emas Bunut Health Centre in Bunut. At the Indoor Stadium, students from Paduka Seri Begawan Sultan Science College and Duli Pengiran Muda Al-Muhtadee Billah College received their vaccine shots. The Acting Director of Schools expressed hope that with the programme, it will protect teachers and and students, and learning can be carried out safely and in order.

 

At UBD, the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccines were given to students from Katok Secondary School.

 

At MRS Bolkiah Garrison, 7 schools are taking part in the programme namely the Pulaie Primary School, Anggerek Desa Primary School, Delima Satu Primary School, Orang Kaya Besar Imas Subok Primary School, Amar Pahlawan Primary School, Kampung Mata-Mata Primary School and Pengiran Pekerma Setia Diraja Sahibul Bandar Primary School.

 

Sayyidina Hasan Secondary School students received their vaccine shots at Jubli Emas Bunut Health Centre.
