The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports through Youth Division, Department of Youth and Sports will organise the preliminary rounds of the National Youth Musabaqah Tilawatil Quran 1443H/ 2022 for three days starting today, the 11th of May 2022. 53 qaris and 31 qariahs will present their respective readings.
The annual project of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports conducted by the Department of Youth and Sports takes place at the Dewan Silaturrahim, Youth Centre, Bandar Seri Begawan from 8.15 in the morning to 5 in the afternoon. The public can watch it live via the official Instagram account at jbs.bn or Facebook at Jabatan Belia dan Sukan. Since 1980, the Musabaqah has succeeded in producing a number of youth qaris and qariahs of caliber, capable of competing at a higher level. It also serves as a platform to view their ability and performance, specifically in the field of recitation of Al-Quran with tarannum or rhythm.
