The 'Dasar Belia Negara dan Strategi', DBNS Youth Advisory Group with the cooperation of the Brunei Youth Council organised an Outreach session for the National Youth Policy and Strategy 2020-2035 yesterday morning at Dewan Majlis Building. The session aimed to enhance the National Youth Policy and Strategy 2020-2035 for the youth and raise awareness on the youth's programmes as well as initiatives aside from receiving input from the youth for the country's development.
In attendance was Yang Berhormat Dayang Khairunnisa binti Awang Haji Ash'ari, Member of the Legislative Council as the Chairperson. Over 100 students from higher education institutions took part in the programme. The session began with an introduction on the policy, followed by a dialogue session with Yang Berhormat Dayang Siti Rozaimeriyanty binti Dato Seri Laila Jasa Haji Abdul Rahman; Yang Berhormat Dayang Nik Hafimi binti Abdul Haadii; Yang Berhormat Dayang Khairunnisa, Members of the Legislative Council; Doctor Chin Wei Keh, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Higher Education, Ministry of Education; Retired Colonel Pengiran Haji Maiddin bin Pengiran Haji Said, Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports; and Dayang Marzalenie binti Haji Omar, Director of Manpower Strategy at the Manpower Planning and Employment Council, MPEC Secretariat.
A mini exhibition was also held by DBNS strategic partners including MPEC; Job Centre Brunei; Darussalam Enterprise; Wawasan Brunei 2035 Standing Secretariat, Brunei Climate Change Secretariat, Youth Development Centre, Department of Community Developments; and the Youth and Sports Department.
