Saint John's School emerged as the champions in the Finals of both the Nationwide Primary School Choir and Finding Big 6 Champion Competitions. The finals were held this morning at the Dewan Raya of RTB. The competitions were held in conjunction with Brunei Darussalam's 33rd National Day celebration. The competitions aimed to enhance the students' creativity and develop their talents in group singing.
4 primary schools competed in the Finals of the Nationwide Primary School Choir. Aside from increasing the students' patriotism and love for the country, the competition also aimed to showcase and expose Bruneian children songs, and challenge the students to present them through choir.
In the Finding Big '6' Champion Competition. The competition saw students belt out Brunei Patriotic songs through A Cappella, which is singing without musical instrumental accompaniment combined with the voices of 6 students. Prizes were presented by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Pendikar Alam Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Hasrin Bin Dato Paduka Awang Haji Sabtu, a member of the Legislative Council.
