A Nationwide Religious Programme was held simultaneously at all districts yesterday, where a Tazkirah or Short Talk conducted, carrying the title 'Peranan Pelajar dalam Menjayakan Wawasan Negara' or The Role of Students in Accomplishing the National Vision.
In the Brunei Muara District, the programme was held at the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha Girls Arabic Religious Secondary School in Katok. Over one thousand students from the said school attended the programme. This was followed by the reading of Surah Yasin in conjunction with the National Day, and the reading of Doa Peliharakan Sultan and Brunei Darussalam.
A similar programme was held Sungai Liang Religious School in Belait District. The talk among other things explained on the role of students in making the Wawasan Negara a success. Students have to study diligently, not to be involved in social ills, abide the country's rules and regulations, and be prime example to their family and peers.
Meanwhile in Tutong District, the programme was held at Keriam Religious School. With the slogan 'Pelajar Harapan Negara' 'Pelajar Bersatu Negara Maju', the talk is hoped to encourage the students to further improve their learning in together making the Wawasan Negara 2035 a success.
The Bokok Religious School in Temburong District became the focal point for the programme. It was aimed to produce Al-Insannussaleh, and ensure a balanced and complete education by emphasising on two aspects namely curriculum and co-curriculum.
