One Thousand 500 Defence Companies from 60 Countries Took Part in the Defence Services Asia

One thousand 500 defence companies from 60 countries took part in the Defence Services Asia, DSA 2018 held at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre, MITEC, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Second Minister of Defence attended the exhibition.

The prestigious international defence exhibition showcases the latest updates on defence industry development, technology, products and services in various defence and security fields. Yang Berhormat Pehin also attended the Putrajaya Forum 2018 which was held in conjunction with DSA 2018.

The Forum, officiated by the Prime Minister of Malaysia, draws participations comprising policy makers, defence and security agencies, think tanks as well as academicians, to discuss and share knowledge to promote understanding on regional and international defence and security issues.

Yang Berhormat Pehin also paid a call on Yang Berhormat Dato' Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein, Minister of Defence Malaysia. During the meeting, both sides discussed strategic regional and global security issues and expressed satisfaction on the close defence relations shared between both countries. Both sides also discussed future bilateral defence cooperation between both countries.

Also present were Major General Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, RBAF and His Excellency Dato Paduka Haji Alaihuddin bin Pehin Orang Kaya Digadong Seri Lela Dato Seri Utama Haji Awang Mohd Taha, the High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam to Malaysia.
