Comic activists in the country had the opportunity to increase knowledge and exchange ideas, opinions and more creative ideas through the Comic Discussion held virtually by the Language and Literature Bureau yesterday morning. Held in conjunction with the Language Month and Brunei December Festival 2021, the Comic Discussion is a platform for the development of comics in the country, especially in the publication of quality local comics as well as supporting the comic activists in continuing their arts.
The panel members comprising five local cartoonists shared their experiences and knowledge throughout their involvement in comic production. Joining the discussion was Awang Suip bin Haji Abdul Wahab, Acting Director of Language and Literature Bureau. Through the discussion, it is hoped that more new comics activists can come forward to produce quality comics with commercial value.
