Participants of the Clinical Risk Management Course need to add skills in tackling risks related to clinical tasks in ensuring patient safety is guaranteed. According to the Deputy Permanent Secretary for Professional at the Ministry of Health, the course which was held for the first time is designed to ensure all healthcare professionals are more alert and are taking steps to identify, evaluate and reduce risks, and therefore making strategic plans in risk management at their respective organisational levels. Doctor Haji Zulaidi bin Haji Abd Latif was speaking at the opening ceremony of the Clinical Risk Management Course at the Ministry of Health, yesterday morning.
Three experts from National University Singapore were invited to facilitate the 2-day course for 50 participants. Among the initiatives of the Ministry of Health is to ensure health professionals possess skills in the aspect of clinical risk management in together upholding the strategy towards providing high quality health services.
