The Leadership Motivational Camp for the Religious Teachers Higher Diploma Programme 2016 Study Session of the Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University College, KUPU SB can equip the students with leadership skills with the hope that the students will know, understand and apply the leadership concepts and theories with a foundation of Islamic principles according to the teachings of the Ahli Sunnah Wal jamaa'ah school of thought and the Malay Islamic Monarchy, MIB concept. The camp's opening was officiated by Datin Paduka Doctor Hajah Norlila binti Dato Paduka Haji Abdul Jalil, Permanent Secretary at the Mnistry of Culture, Youth and Sports, yesterday morning.
More than 100 students of the 2016 intake of the KUPU SB Religious Teachers Higher Diploma Programme took part in the camp. The camp carries the theme 'Melahirkan Pendidik Profesional dan Berkepimpinan Melalui Program Kokurikulum' or Producing Professional Educators Possessing Leadership through Cocurriculum Programmes. Also present was Doctor Haji Adnan bin Haji Basar, Acting Raes of KUPU SB.
The five day camp focuses on 6 main aspects, the assimilation of Islamic values, organisational management, financial management, entrepreneurship, teamwork as well as mental and physical endurance and activeness. Participants will also be involved in the Masjidku Makmur, Negara Berkat programme and entrepreneurship activities in conjunction with the Bandarku Ceria programme this Sunday. The camp is organised by the KUPU SB Core Knowledge Centre with the cooperation of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports. According to Awang Haji Mohd Shahrol Azmi bin Haji Abdul Muluk, Deputy Director of the Core Knowledge Centre, such programmes are hoped to assist the students to contribute their best to society.
