Orientation and Mobility for Visually Impaired Persons

To increase awareness and knowledge in the correct management of Orientation and Mobility for Visually Impaired Persons, participants comprising youths and parents took part in a practical session on Orientation and Mobility yesterday afternoon. The session took place in the vicinity of Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Hospital in Bandar Seri Begawan.

According to Dayang Masni binti Haji Bujang, Vision Sensory Special Support Service Section Officer, Special Education Unit, the session was hoped to ensure quality life for Visually Impaired Persons besides teaching the proper method of Orientation and Mobility. She said the activity was meant to provide the participants with practical experience in a public place.

The participants shared their experience participating in the Braille, Orientation and Mobility Workshop and provided an insight to the public on the importance of the session.
