Orientation Week

University Teknologi Brunei, UTB believed that it is crucial to expose students to the community early on in their studies – long before graduation. All employers are looking for students and graduates who have a range of skills, personal qualities and experience, which will help them to be productive in the workplace. Vice-Chancellor of UTB in a speech while welcoming 700 students during UTB’s Orientation Week for the 2022/2023 intake, yesterday morning, added that to help students achieve a work-life balance in the university, there are countless number of clubs and societies that they can join.

Datin Paduka Professor Doctor Dayang Hajah Zohrah binti Haji Sulaiman explained UTB’s Vision for 2019 to 2023 is “A Global University Impacting Society”. UTB encourages the students to set high personal and academic goals for themselves and always crave for knowledge and pro-active in academic.

The Experience Plus Programme will be a first exposure to potential employers, an opportunity to show the students’ prowess. The UTB Orientation Week starts yesterday until the 23rd of July 2022. It is filled with activities including briefings and motivation counselling sessions. The function took place at the UTB Multi-purpose Hall.
