More than 100 trees were planted in conjunction with the Golden Jubilee of the Independence of Bangladesh. The planting of the trees are part of efforts to reduce carbon emission in the country, inline with the Brunei Darussalam National Climate Change Policy.
Present was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ali bin Apong, Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism; and Her Excellency Nahida Rahman Shumona, High Commissioner of Bangladesh. Yesterday morning's function which took place at the Recreational Park in Jalan Pusat Persidangan was organised by the Bangladesh High Commission in the country with the cooperation of the Forestry Department.
