Over 700 people participated in the Sirah Rasulullah Sallallahu ‘Alaihi Wasallam’ Habibi Rasulullah’ Education Webinar in conjunction with the Mauludir Rasul Celebration. The event held virtually was jointly organized by the Faculty of Usuluddin and the Ahli Sunnah Wal Jama’ah Understanding and Research Centre, Seri Begawan Religious Teachers’ University College, KUPU SB.
In his keynote speech, Doctor Adanan bin Haji Basar, Raes of KUPU SB explained on the lineage of Rasulullah Sallallahu ‘Alaihi Wasallam’s descendants and also reminded on the history of Habibi Rasulullah Sallallahu’ Alaihi Wassalam’s birthday. According to him, there was an Irhasat or extraordinary incident on the story of Habibi Rasulullah Sallallahu ‘Alaihi Wasallam’s birth experienced by his mother and there were discussions and iktilaf or differences of views from some scholars about it. Thus, all parties need to be careful with the history received without authentic sources, especially from media applications. Meanwhile, Doctor Norashibah binti Haji Besar, Dean of the Faculty of Usuluddin called on relevant parties related to the Field of Islamic Studies, especially Pre-University level, to always take care and pay attention, on one of the fields of Ulum Hadith named “Takhrij al-Hadith” which is a special knowledge for identifying the authenticity of hadith from original and mu’tabar or valid sources of reference. Three working papers were presented at the Webinar themed ‘Rasulullah Kekasih Allah, Kekasihku Dunia Akhirat’.
