In conjunction with the 71st Independence Day of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the High Commission of Pakistan in Brunei Darussalam held a Painting and Culture Exhibition. The exhibition is being held at the Art Gallery of the Bandar Seri Begawan Royal Wharf in the capital.
Launching the exhibition was Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports. Also present was His Excellency Retired Major General Tariq Rashid Khan, the High Commissioner of The Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Brunei Darussalam. It features the works of a leading Pakistani artist, Miss Shehla Rehman, showing the artistic presentation of beautiful people, landscape, valleys and mountains of Pakistan. The exhibition also showcases and promotes several products from Pakistan such as textiles, jewelleries, and household decorations. The four-day exhibition is open to the public starting today.
