A Painting Workshop titled 'Friendship and Peace' was held yesterday morning to commemorate the 42nd Anniversary of the Victory of Islamic Revolution and the National Day of Iran. Organised by the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the workshop took place at the JoArt Gallery in Kampung Kiulap.
In attendance was Her Excellency Homeira Rigi Zirouki, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Also present, Pengiran Zamri bin Pengiran Haji Bujang, President of Smarter Brunei. 20 participants comprising 17 Smarter Brunei students and 3 Iranian students participated in the workshop, which involved making various types of art. In an interview with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Her Excellency explained that the event was held as part of the embassy's community project. It also provides opportunity to autistic children to develop their skills and abilities, and motivate them to express themselves in a positive way through the Painting Workshop.
