Passing Out Of the 161st Intake of Male Recruits

A continuous approach between the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, RBAF and the Ministry of Defence coupled with strong determination and commitment can strengthen the protection of the country's security and well-being. This is done through land, sea and air communications in supporting and maintaining regional and international peace. The task of upholding the security has resulted in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications in an effort to ensure dynamic and competitive national development.

The Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Communications outlined the matter during the Passing Out Parade of the 161st Intake of Male Recruits. The ceremony took place at Penanjong Garrison in Tutong this morning. According to Awang Haji Azhar bin Haji Ahmad through close cooperation, the 'whole of Nation' approach will continue to produce a conducive, safe and peaceful environment.

The intake's 171 male recruits had completed seven months of basic military training. Also present was Major General Pengiran Dato Paduka Seri Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, the Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, RBAF.

Awang Mohd Nasiruddin bin Ali Hassan was selected as the Best Overall Male Recruit. The Best in Military Skills was Awang Mohd Daniel bin Abdullah Muhsin. The award for the Best Light Weapon Operator went to Awang Zahi Zaidan bin Haji Sabli; while Awang Abdul Hakeem bin Karim was the Best in Physical Training. The title of the Best Male Instructor went to Corporal Basyir bin Haji Bidin and the Best Male Platoon Sergeant was awarded to Sergeant Noorsalehan bin Ali Safari.
