Passing Out Parade for Male and Female Recruits

Diligent and determined as well as being willing and toiling throughout their basic military training is something to be proud of. Hence it is very vital to take the training seriously. According to the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it can be used in shaping recruits into more responsible, trustworthy and disciplined soldiers who have integrity, nationhood spirit and strong iman or faith. Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Nor bin Haji Jeludin made the remarks during the Passing Out Parade of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, RBAF Male Recruits 164th Intake and Female Recruits 55th Intake yesterday morning.

The Permanent Secretary said completing the basic training was the beginning of their career in the armed forces. Personnel with high discipline, knowledge and skills would be respected by the community.

221 male recruits completed 31 weeks of basic military training while 57 female recruits underwent 21 weeks of similar training. The ceremony was attended by Major General Pengiran Dato Paduka Seri Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Commander of the RBAF.

During the parade, instructors and recruits who performed with excellence during the training received awards as the Best Male and Female Platoon Sergeant; Best Male and Female Instructors, Best Overall Male and Female Recruits, Best Recruit in Light Weapons, Best in Physical Training and Best in Military Skills.
