12 members of the Brunei History Association, PESEBAR, have left for Indonesia to attend the 7th International Seminar on Archaeology, History, Language and Culture in the Malay Society (ASBAM). The two-day seminar begins on Saturday. The delegation will also take part in the "International Politics Seminar in Education and its impact on socio-culture and manpower development in Southeast Asia". The five-day seminar starts on the 1st of August in Bandung.
The PESEBAR delegation was led by Associate Professor Doctor Awang Haji Asbol bin Haji Mail, the Honorary Secretary; and Doctor Muhammad Hadi bin Mohd Melayong, the Assistant Honorary Secretary.
More than 100 people are expected to attend the seminar. According to Dr Hj Muhammad Hadi, PESEBAR's participation in the program will enhance cooperation with experts in the Malay Society and ASEAN.
