The Police Training Centre made history today when its first female Commandant took office today. Senior Superintendant of Police Dayang Masni binti Haji Jamil, becomes the first woman to head the Centre and has officially taken over the duty of Commandant from Senior Superintendant of Police Kevin Chiuh Ted Voon. The Handing-over of Duty of the Police Training Centre Commandant took place this afternoon at the Centre's Parade Ground in Gadong
The ceremony began with the outgoing commandant receiving the salute and then inspecting
the parade mounted by the Police Training Centre personnel followed by a march-past. The Police Training Centre is one of the most important units of the Royal Brunei Police Force.
Prior to the official handover of duty, Senior Superintendant of Police Kevin Chiuh Ted Voon, conveyed his appreciation to all the staff and personnel of the Police Training Centre for their loyalty in implementing the changes in training tecniques and understanding of work ethics of policing towards achieving the objective of the force as as the country's law enforcement agency.
The signing of the handover of duty to the new Commandant was witnessed by the officers and staff of the centre. Senior Superintendant Dayang Masni binti Haji Jamil, in her address, welcomed and accepted her new duty and at the same time reminded all the Training Centre's personnel to render their solid support and cooperation towards improving the police quality in having disciplined personnel with initiatives and integrity in upholding the sovereignty of the nation.
Senior Superintendant of Police had previously held the posts of Acting Deputy Director of Crime Intelligence Department, Assistant Commanding Officer of Brunei Muara Police District and Assistant Commanding Officer of Marine Police.
