A 'wagon' type vehicle has been found burning believed to have been exploded with a homemade bomb. A victim believed to be the driver was also found dead and an identification effort was ongoing.
The Royal Brunei Police Force received an emergency call on the 993 hotline at around 10.30 yesterday morning, informing of a big explosion and smoke billowing at a road junction in Tutong District.
The said incident was a scenario from a series of post-explosion investigation exercises between the Royal Brunei Police Force and the Singapore Police Force that took place at Binturan Shooting Range in Tutong.
The exercise was witnessed by Acting Director of Criminal Investigation of the Royal Brunei Police Force, Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Hassan bin Pehin Penyurat Haji Ahmad and Deputy Commissioner of Police (Investigation and Intelligence) of the Singapore Police Force, Florence Chua Siew Lian.
The Royal Brunei Police Force has expressed appreciation to its Singapore counterpart for the continued support through a strong cooperation network in improving investigative skills and capacity as well as strengthening relations between the two Police Forces.
