Prayer Workshop for the Sick and People with Special Needs

The Tutong District Mosque Affairs Department in cooperation of the Takmir Committee of Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque in Tutong Town yesterday morning organised a Prayer Workshop for the sick and people with special needs. The workshop was held at the mosque in Tutong Town.

More than 350 people took part in the workshop delivered by Awang Ahmad Syuja'iee bin Mudim Haji Matassim, representative of the Patient's Prayer Peer Assistance from the Religious Service Unit, Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Hospital. They also watched a demonstration on how sick people and people with special-needs perform the prayer, ablution and the tayammum. Among the objective of the workshop was to enhance the understanding and knowledge on how sick patients perform prayers as well as to raise the muslim's awareness in remembering Allah during sick and in health. Also in attendance were Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Umarali bin Esong and Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Ramli bin Haji Lahit, Members of the Legislative Council and Awang Shamsul Bahrin bin Haji Mohd Hussain, Tutong District Officer.
