The Embassy of the United States of America in Brunei Darussalam held the Pre-Departure Orientation for U.S-bound Students through EducationUSA, yesterday afternoon. The orientation outlined the preparation of students before leaving Brunei and sharing information on living and studying in the United States.
Her Excellency Caryn McClelland, U.S Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam in her remarks said the selected students will be among the next generation of leaders, entrepreneurs, scientists, doctors, academics and artists who will ensure a bright future for Brunei Darussalam. 50 scholarship recipients and self-funded who will further their education in the United States were also briefed on the Student Visa Application Process and Maintaining Student Visa Status in the United States. Also held was the sharing session with U.S University Students and Alumni aimed to expose the students on the culture, health, safety and security on the campus.
