30-thousand dollars have been donated by a local company to six charities in the country. The donation from Jati Transport Sendirian Berhad was handed over during the company's 30th anniversary celebration this morning.
Earlier in his speech, Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Haji Jaafar ibni Almarhum Pengiran Pemancha Pengiran Anak Haji Mohd 'Alam, the Executive Chairman of Jati Transport Sendirian Berhad said that 70 percent of the company's employees are locals, and some of them have been with the company since the beginning.
The donations were handed over by Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Haji Ja'afar to the Pengiran Muda Mahkota Al-Muhtadee Billah Fund for Orphans; Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam; the Fund for the Disabled People; the Association of Disabled Children, KACA; the Brunei Muara District Orphans Fund; and SMARTER Brunei.
The event ran concurrently with the launch of a new Mercedes model by Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Haji Ja'afar.
