Even though the modern music industry is expanding rapidly, the culture of memukun still exist as a form of entertainment among the senior citizens to further enliven a ceremony in the village. To preserve such culture for the future generations, a youth has been exposed to the culture of "bermukun" from a young age. 16-year old Awang Malik bin Haji Juang began to be involved in 'bermukun' since last year. Awang Malik also has the talent in quatrains and has learnt various mukun rhythm.
His father, Awang Haji Juang bin Haji Tamin who is also involved in bermukun, hopes that his son can carry the carry on the tradition and introduce it to his peers.
