A similar ceremony was also organised by the Prime Minister's Office and departments under it, this afternoon. The function was highlighted by a talk that among others touched on how Islam encourages its ummah to read Al-Quran to gain huge rewards from Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala. The function ran concurrently with the presentation of donations in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
Present was Dato Paduka Awang Haji Hamdan bin Haji Abu Bakar, the Acting Minister of Energy and Industry at the Prime Minister's Office. The talk entitled "Al-Quran Temanku Menceriakan Hidupku" was delivered by Haji Abdus Salam bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Senior religious Officer at the Islamic Da'wah Centre. The talk among other matters touched in the specialty of reading the Quran which is a zikrullah that is better than any other zikir as al-Quran will intercede on behalf of its reader during Judgement Day.
At the function, 49 staff at the Prime Minister's Office and its departments received donations in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri. The function was conducted by the Internal Security Department and Civil Service Institute.
