For the Construction Sector, the Minister of Home Affairs stated procedure integration has been made between the Department of Labour and the Authority for Building Control and Construction Industry, ABCi, Ministry of Development.
Employer must submit a copy of the project without attaching Form C from ABCi while submitting new application and renewing the Foreign Worker Licence, LPA. Declaration form is needed to ensure that employers agree and will be responsible for the foreign worker’s whereabout and well-being when the construction project has been completed and until a period when a new project is carried out. The form can be downloaded at the Department of Labour’s website at buruh.gov.bn. The Department of Labour and ABCi will strive to carry out inspection on companies that have approved their Foreign Worker License applications. This is to ensure the company adheres to the rules and regulations of both departments.
