The Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism meanwhile said the vegetables and fruits produced by the farms are capable of increasing the country's agricultural products. Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ali Bin Apong stated this during the visit to the vegetable and fruit farms in Tutong District yesterday morning.
The visit to the Moncherry Fruit Farm Sendirian Berhad at the Agriculture Development Area of the Agriculture Research Station in Kampung Birau aimed to take a closer look at the yield of unseasonal fruits such as passion fruit. The company currently has two thousand passion fruit trees that have the potential to be planted in the country and are expected to produce fruits for the domestic market and export.
A vegetable farm owned by Wan Chin Agricultural Farm in Kampung Padnunok was also visited by the Minister and his delegation. The farm is among those given full attention and expected to contribute to the increase in the country's agricultural products.
