The issue of roadside vendors was also raised by Yang Berhormat Awang Amran bin Haji Maidin. The Minister of Home Affairs said the issue has been discussed under the National Land Use Planning Council under the Ministry of Development with the Stalls and Workshop Action Group.
According to the Minister, the group also identified 11 new sites suitable for building stalls for roadside vendors. Construction will take place in stages whereas the process of gazetting the identified sites is also through coordination and cooperation among the relevant Village leaders as well as Mukim and Village Consultative Councils.
