Publication of New Books

The Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University, UNISSA has published 27 books covering various fields written by local and foreign academics. Of the 27 books, 7 are written in Malay including a special publication in conjunction with the 10th anniversary of UNISSA's establishement. Four books are in English and 12 others in Arabic. The university also published 3 journals and a monograph. The books were launched recently in conjunction with UNISSA's 8th Mahrajan Hafl Al-Takharruj or Convocation Festival.

According to Dayang Julia binti Radin, Senior Publisher at the UNISSA Research and Publication Centre, the publication of the latest books took between 3 to 6 months. There were several processes before the books were printed.

10 Tahun Kegemilangan UNISSA Mencorak Masa Depan Ummah or UNISSA's 10 Glorious Years Shape The Future of the Ummah, co-written by Doctor Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal, the UNISSA Rector and Doctor Hajah Rose binti Abdullah, Director of UNISSA's Education and Publication Centre is a special publication in the form of 'coffee table book. The 123-page book contains pictures and articles on the 10 years of challenges and struggles faced by the University as it moved forward to consolidate and expand its role as a true Islamic university of international standard, progressive and dynamic with Al-Quran and As-Sunnah as its foundation.

'UNISSA: Satu Dekad Perkembangan dan Pencapaian' or 'UNISSA, A Decade of Development and Achievements' is a collection of 16 articles written by 17 authors. The 268-page book has 16 Chapters divided into 6 sections. They include the history of UNISSA's establishment, administrative management, academic development, research and publication, students development, and UNISSA'S prospects and direction. The book also records that in 10 years, UNISSA faced numerous challenges, especially in its development and progress, simultaneously producing high quality graduates capable of fulfilling the country's aspiration and contributing to community development.
