The Ramadhan Kembara Charity Programme is an annual programme organised by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, and is part of an outreach initiative to hand over contributions to underprivileged individuals in the four districts. The delegation yesterday morning visited communities from all walks of life in the Brunei Muara district.
The delegation was led by Yang Berhormat Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports. The contributions, in the form of basic daily necessities, were handed over to 6 underprivileged families listed under the Community Development Department, JAPEM, including recipients of monthly welfare assistance, orphans, senior citizens and people with different abilities. Also present was Datin Paduka Doctor Hajah Norlila binti Dato Paduka Haji Abdul Jalil, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
The Ministry hopes that the contributions will be able to help alleviate the burden of the families, as well as provide them with cheer for the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration.
