Bandar seri begawan: 24 senior officers of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) received promotions in a ceremony held at the Officers' Mess, Bolkiah Garrison. The promotions, which took place in the morning of 26th June, were sanctioned by His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam. Among the officers, three were elevated to the rank of Colonel, 14 to Lieutenant Colonel/Commander in the Royal Brunei Navy, and seven to Acting Lieutenant Colonel/Commander in the Royal Brunei Navy.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the Rank Insignia Presentation Ceremony was graced by the presence of Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, who serves as the Coordinating Minister for National Security, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office, and Second Minister of Defence. The rank insignias were presented by Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, the Commander of the RBAF, marking a significant milestone in the careers of the newly promoted officers.
