The Royal Brunei Armed Forces, RBAF will be 57 years old on Thursday, the 31st of May. To mark the occasion, the RBAF held a Khatam Al-Quran ceremony yesterday morning.
The event was attended by Major General Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Commander of the RBAF. The ceremony began with the reading of the Takhtim dan Doa Khatam led by the Iman of Ad-Difa' Surau and continued with Dikir Marhaban. The ceremony was part of efforts by the Royal Brunei Armed Forces to encourage religious activities, especially in Ramadhan and at the same time to instil one of its core values, Taqwa or piety to enhance the spiritual aspect and motivate its personnel to perform their duties with honesty and integrity. Similar functions took place at the suraus of the RBAF's other camps, garrisons and bases.
