The Royal Brunei Police Force is the frontliners who deal directly with the public daily. Praiseworthy characteristics and behavior such as courtesy, professionalism, honesty and trustworthiness is vital to be practiced. The Commander or the Royal Brunei Armed Forces stated the matter at the Passing out Parade for Male and Female recruits of Squad 1-2016 this morning. Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah said that in general the Royal Brunei Police Force is responsible in enforcing the law and protect the interests of the public in order to ensure tranquility, security and well-being of Brunei Darussalam.
Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Mohd Tawih said that the personnel's duty will reflect the level of integrity and professionalism of the Royal Brunei Police Force in the eyes of the local community as well as overseas visitors. By carrying out their duties efficiently and with full professionalism, it will certainly give a good portrayal and convince the local community and foreign visitors of the nation's law efficacy and level of security. Indirectly, it will also convince more visitors from abroad to the country either as tourists or foreign investors to come to the country and further enhance the country's economy.
Also present was Dato Paduka Seri Haji Mohd Jimmi Bin Haji Muhammad Shah Al-Islam, Commissioner of Police. 64 male recruits and 30 female recruits completed 8 months of training which began on the 5th of December. Recruit Mohamad Shafijan bin Timbang and Recruit Anne Cheryl Binti Apollo were selected as the best recruits in all fields. Recruit Awangku Muhammad Saufi @ Awangku Hazman Bin Pengiran Razak and Recruit Aina Farwizah Binti Musri were selected as the best recruits in law and police works while Recruit Afiendi anak Jarah and Recruit Zunurzulaikhayati @ Zumarleinayati Binti Haji Yunos were selected as best recruits in drills and outdoor training.
