Brunei Darussalam and the Sultanate of Oman enjoyed the similar aspects in cultural and civilizational heritage, which further strengthened the bonds of friendship between both peoples and enabled the two governments to find common grounds for bilateral cooperation. The matter was explained by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Sultanate of Oman to Brunei Darussalam, last night at the Reception Ceremony in conjunction with the 49th National Day of the Sultanate of Oman. The ceremony took place at The Empire Brunei.
Representing the Government of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan on Brunei Darussalam was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Mohammad Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health. His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed bin Hashil Al- Maskari in his speech touched on the activities which related to both Brunei Darussalam and the Sultanate of Oman relations which was established more than two decades, help to strengthen the bilateral relations. His Excellency also said, in the efforts to promote the Arabic and Omani culture and scientific heritage in this country, the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman has launched a fourth Omani Publications Corner named after Ibn Al- Thahabi.
