The Brunei Darussalam Red Crescent Society yesterday afternoon held the World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day 2022 celebration that took place on every 8th of May. The event took place in Gadong.
In conjunction with the celebration, this year BRC awarded 4 ‘Henry Dunant Awards’ namely the BRC Henry Dunant Humanitarian Award; BRC Henry Dunant Leaders Award; BRC Henry Dunant Excellence Service Award and BRC Henry Dunant Volunteers Award. Among the recipients was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy who received the BRC Henry Dunant Humanitarian Award. The ceremony coincided with the awarding of the BRC Medal of Honour COVID-19 to over 90 COVID-19 frontliners and the presentation of the Friends of BRC.
