More than 80 lower-rank personnel of the Royal Brunei Police Force were celebrated in an event held in conjunction with their retirement from the Police services. The event was organized by the General Administration and Finance Department of the Royal Brunei Police force in collaboration with the Police Wives and Family Association, PEKERTI. This afternoon's event was held at the Hassanal Bolkiah stadium of the Police Headquarters in Gadong.
Souvenirs were presented by Dato Paduka Seri Haji Mohammad Jammy bin Haji Muhammad Shah Al-Islam, the Commissioner of Police. The function was in appreciation of the retirees' services to the country and the Royal Brunei Police Force. Also present was Dato Paduka Awang Haji Mohammad Irwan bin Haji Hambali, the Deputy Commissioner of Police.
The ceremony coincided with the presentation of prizes to 52 excellent students comprising the police personnel's children. The students received their academic excellence prizes for the BC-GCE A and O level; the Brunei Religious Education Higher Certificate, STPUB; Primary School Assessment and Lower Religious School Examination. Also held was a presentation of Group Personal Accident Takaful Insurance Scheme to 7 heirs of the RBPF personnel.
