Rites of Sacrifice Ceremony by the Ministry Of Religious Affairs

Several rites of sacrifice ceremonies continue to be held on the final day of Tasyrik. 13th of Zulhijjah. Yesterday morning, the Ministry of Religious Affairs held such a ceremony for the ministry’s employees. The function took place at the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Jalan Dewan Majlis.

 

Present was Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs. Also present was Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar, Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs.

 

The function was followed by the distribution of the sacrificial meat to the participants of the rites of sacrifice and selected recipients among the officers and staff of the Ministry of Religious Affairs. At the function, the Minister of Religious Affairs handed over the sacrificial meats to heads of delegations led by the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs to be distributed to 249 selected poor and destitute heads of families in the four districts.

 

Meanwhile, the presentation of the sacrificial meat at the homes of the selected poor and destitute in the Brunei Muara District was focused at Mukim Berakas A. The handing over was officiated by Awang Haji Mohammad Rosli bin Haji Ibrahim, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Awang Haji Mohd. Serudin bin Haji Timbang, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Policy and Religious at the Ministry of Religious Affairs. Also involved in the process of distributing the sacrificial meat to the homes of selected asnaf nationwide were youths under the Ministry of Religious Affairs’ Youth Religious Programme. This year’s ceremony was jointly organised by the Ministry’s Policy, Planning and Research Section, Building and Maintenance Section, International Section and MABIMS as well as the Public Relations Section.
