The Hari Raya Aidiladha celebration in the country continues to be enlivened with rites of sacrifice ceremonies held by various parties. Yesterday afternoon, such a ceremony was held by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The function conducted by the Fire and Rescue Department began with a talk titled ‘Cintai Allah – cinta utama’. Meanwhile, the sacrificial meat was distributed by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Awang Abu Bakar Bin Haji Apong, Minister of Home Affairs.
A similar ceremony was also held yesterday morning by the Ministry of Religious Affairs and its departments at the Kampung Sibut Religious Hall, Temburong District. The sacrificial meat was distributed by Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister Of Religious Affairs and wife. At the ceremony, 5 cows were sacrificed. Also present was Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar; Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs.
Meanwhile, 2 buffaloes were sacrificed yesterday afternoon during the rites of sacrifice Ceremony for the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism and its departments conducted by the Fisheries Department. The sacrificial meat was distributed by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ali bin Apong, Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism.
The rites of sacrifice ceremony for the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports and its departments was held yesterday afternoon at 3 separate places. At Dewan Digadong, the sacrificial meat was distributed by Yang Berhormat Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports and Doctor Siti Norkhalbi binti Haji Wahsalfelah, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Culture at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
The sacrificial meat for the ceremony held at the Dewan Jawatan Dalam of the Brunei History Centre was distributed by Pengiran Mohammad Amirrizal bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Permanent Secretary for Administration, Finance and Estate AND Dayang Hajah Fauziah binti Haji Abdul Hamid, Director of Research, Development and International Affairs.
Meanwhile at Dewan Bina Diri, Youth Development Centre, the sacrificial meat was distributed by Pengiran Haji Mohd Hasnan bin Pengiran Haji Ali Hassan, Permanent Secretary for Strategic Management and Policy and Pengiran Siti Rahmah binti Pengiran Haji Salleh, Acting Director of Community Development. 10 cows were sacrificed during the rites of sacrifice for the staff of the Ministry and its departments as well as the Meraih Berkah Group.
