In 85 days, the country will celebrate Brunei Darussalam's 34th National Day Anniversary Celebration. The Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports reminded that the responsibility and role of all to cooperate with each other is vital to ensure that the National Day Celebration 2018 runs smoothly as planned. Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof was speaking while chairing the Second Meeting of the 34th National Day Celebration Executive Committee, this morning.
Yang Berhormat Pehin, in his speech also said that the second meeting was to discuss preparation for the National Day Celebration 2018, besides finalising matters that need to be considered and resolved.
Among the agenda discussed in the meeting were the celebration's theme and logo, mass gathering including the performance concept, Doa Kesyukuran ceremony, the Hoisting and Lowering of the Giant-sized National Flag and the distribution of miniature flags, the Semarak Pengibaran Bendera Programme, as well as the content of the National Day Celebration Programme Book. Among those present were Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Lela Cheteria Sahibun Najabah Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Aziz bin Pengiran Jaya Negara Pengiran Haji Abu Bakar, Yang Di-Pertua of Adat Istiadat Negara; Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Penggawa Laila Bentara Istiadat Diraja Dalam Istana Pengiran Haji Alauddin bin Pengiran Paduka Tuan Pengiran Haji Abu Bakar, Grand Chamberlain; Yang Berhormat Pehin Jawatan Dalam Seri Maharaja Dato Seri Utama Doctor Haji Awang Mohd. Jamil Al-Sufri bin Begawan Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Seri Paduka Haji Awang Umar, Principal of the History Centre, Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar, Deputy Minister of Education; Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud, Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs and Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Mohd. Tawih bin Abdullah, Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces.
