The misuse of electronic media and sophisticated technology, the influence of secularism and the internet, materialism-based life and deviant teachings are among the challenges to the faith of today's muslim ummah, which directly or indirectly jeopardise and damage the aqidah or faith of the muslim ummah. A number of measures and efforts were highlighted in the main working paper titled 'Strengthening and Solidification of the Islamic Faith among Today's Muslim Ummah in Facing 21st Century Issues and Challenges', Yesterday morning, during the closing ceremony of the Aqidah Understanding and Current Thinking Seminar 2019, SEKAPES.
Present was Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar, Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs. Yang Berbahagia Associate Professor Doctor Adnan bin Abdul Rashid, Associate Professor of Islamic Education, Department of Curriculum and Education Lecture Methodology, University Islam Antarabangsa Malaysia, also explained that this includes efforts to strengthen and solidify aqidah or faith by refining knowledge and practices, preparing every muslim individual with the KPIA and self-management.
The function ran concurrently with the tabling of the seminar resolution by Doctor Haji Matussien bin Haji Jumat, Head of Working Paper Section, Summariser and Reporter of SEKAPES 2019. In his presentation, a number of resolutions have been made, among them, defending, strengthening and developing aqidah education and the syariah of the Ahli Sunnah Waljama'ah school of thought as a basic core of the country's religion through the Archipelago's higher religious teaching world. The seminar's resolution report was handed over by Doctor Haji Adenan bin Haji Basar, Raes of KUPU SB to the Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs.
