The Ministry of Defence held the Semarak Maulud event to commemorate the Maulidur Rasul celebration simultaneously at all surau's within the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, RBAF garrisons, bases and camps including Pulau Baru-Baru Mosque. The focal point was at the Surau Pengiran Ratna Indera, Tutong Camp.
In attendance was Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohammad Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence. The function included a special talk titled 'Sunnah Dihayati, Hidup Diberkati,' which underlined that the Sunnah is a complete guide for leading a productive, blessed and successful life if applied in the daily practice. The event was organised by the RBAF Religious Department, JAMA'AT.
