Five Qari and Qariah will compete at the Final of the National Level Al-Quran Reading Musabaqah for Adults 1444 Hijrah/2023 that will take place later. The results were announced yesterday afternoon at the International Convention Centre, Berakas. The participants are Awang Mohammad bin Ali; Haji Awang Muhammad Fikri bin Haji Awang Metussin; Awang Haji Nasrul Fakhri bin Haji Yahya; Pengiran Amirul Aiman bin Pengiran Haji Marjuki and Awang Ahmad Zulwaqar bin Suhaili.
Meanwhile the selected qariah are Dayang Hajah Nurfaezah Binti Haji Emran; Dayangku Siti Ummi Syazana Binti Pengiran Haji Marjuki; Dayangku Nurul Sakinah Adawiyah binti Pengiran Ainolazahar; Dr. Dayang Hajah Siti Wardah binti Retired Major Haji Abdul Rahman and Amal Nazirah Binti Haji Asmat.
Present was Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohammad Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan, Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs. The Musabaqah Al-Quran is hoped to provide exposure and encouragement to the national Quran readers to further improve their standard of Al-Quran reading.
41 qari and 13 qariah were selected to present their reading at the Semi-Final of the National Level Al-Quran Reading Musabaqah for Adults which was held for 3 days starting 21 November.
