Several Swab Centres will be closed

Taking into account the progressively stable and controlled situation of COVID-19 in Brunei Darussalam as well as the reduced requirement for swab services in the country, the Minister of Health informed that commencing on 7th of May 2022, several swab centres in the Brunei Muara District and Tutong District will be closed.

Members of the public in these two districts who require the service can obtain it at the Sports Complex Swab Centre, Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Hospital. The swab centres to be closed are Bridex Drive-Thru Swab Centre, Berakas Health Centre Swab Centre, Pengkalan Batu Health Centre Swab Centre; and Sg Kelugos Health Centre Swab Centre. In addition, swab testing for those who wish to exit Brunei Darussalam and those who have just arrived in the country, inbound and outbound travellers, will be fully implemented by accredited private clinics, also commencing on 7th of May 2022 and will no longer be conducted at Government swab centres.
