His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in a titah emphasises for balanced education be truly empowered to shape the nation’s identity.
In the titah during the 11th Haflut Takharruj or Convocation Ceremony of Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University UNISSA, yesterday morning, His Majesty stresses on UNISSA’s excellence in teaching and research which will make it into one of the established Islamic universities in the world. His Majesty also likens UNISSA’s success in publishing 33 of the latest academic books via international collaborations, as a major effort that should be continued and exemplified. In the titah, the Monarch also reminds that the degree received is not the end game in obtaining knowledge. Instead, the degree is only to stimulate or boost the graduates to go much further.
