The International Halal Trade Hub and Services, IHTHS, Brunei demonstrates a beneficial and advantageous position for Brunei to trade both online and offline through local e-commerce platform and both local and international traders. Yesterday Afternoon, the signing of The Strategic Agreements between several strategic parties was held during The International Halal Trade Hub and Service Trade Event 2018. The function took place at the Design and Technology Building in Anggerek Desa.
Present was Yang Berhormat Retired major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports. Signing on behalf of IHTHS was Awang Hilman bin Abdullah, its Chief Operating Officer. Meanwhile Dewan Perniagaan and Perusahaan Sabah (DPUS), was represented by its Director, Anita binti Mohammad. The Agreements between Koperasi Pusat Pembangunan Belia (KOPPB), BRU Trade International (BTI) Sendirian Berhad and Yusa Food Sendirian Berhad, were signed by the respective representatives. The function ran concurrently with the signing of agreements between DSM Brunei and DSM Sabah as well as another signing between Zulaikha Mega Enterprise Brunei and AFCL Bio-Science Sendirian Berhad.
The purpose of the event is to promote the production of halal goods locally and internationally and highlight the prominence of the international halal market and Brunei's potential role within it. The event was organized by the Cottage and Youth Initiative Program (CYIP) at iCentre and facilitated by BIMP-EAGA.
