The Signing of Memorandum of Understanding, MoU between SEAMEO VOCTECH and The ASEAN Future Workforce Council AFWC, will help the nation move one step closer towards The Vision for a Smart Nation by preparing the workforce for our future endeavors and will serve as a platform for the exchange of experiences, views, and best practices to strengthen the quality of Technical and Vocational Education Training, T-VET, in Brunei Darussalam and the region.
Engineer Awang Haji Mohammad Nazri bin Haji Mohammad Yusof, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications mentioned the matter at the Signing Ceremony of the MoU between SEAMEO VOCTECH and AFWC, at SEAMEO VOCTECH. He also said that this opens up opportunities to educational institutions and T-VET providers, which will contribute towards achieving their key targets under the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunication’s Strategic Plan of six thousand jobs in the info-communications sector by 2025.
Signing on behalf of SEAMEO VOCTECH was Awang Alias bin Haji Abu Bakar, Director of the Center. Meanwhile, AFWC was represented by Yang Berbahagia Dato’ Palaniappan Joseph, Chairman of AFWC.
